    One Month Ago....

Angel ran as fast as she could through the woods, the wind blowing through her wet and muddy fur, the rain doing little to wash away the brown that was slowly covering her as she ran.

She didn't know why the power had suddenly failed at Team Plasma's Hoenn base, but she didn't really care right now. All she cared about was getting as far away from it as possible.

------------

After running for what felt like hours in the cold dark, Angel finally collapse, the lights of what she hoped against hope was Slateport just a few hundred meters in front of her. So close was she to her ticket home, and yet, so far.

"I think she went that way," a voice on the howling wind shouted, a voice she had heard, day in, and day out, for the last six months.

'Nononononononono,' Angel mentally screamed as she fell flat against the muddy ground, and slammed her eyes shut, 'Please don't find me..... please, please don't find me.... I'm so, so, soooo close..... please, please, PLEASE!

Angel was to afraid to move as the muddy footsteps got closer.... and closer..... and closer........ and further.

Angel opened her eyes, carefully listening to the footsteps in the mud, listening so, so hard. Was she just imagining they were going away? Or....

Sure enough, as she finally managed to refocus on those muddy footsteps, they were indeed, getting farther and farther away, the shouts of the members of Team Plasma who were after her and the others who had escaped fading back into the din of the storm.

Angel sighed a long sigh as she got up, looking over herself, and realizing the only reason they hadn't seen her is because her normally pristine white coat was stained brown with mud and soil.

"Thank you, Arceus," Angel said, looking up as lightening lit the sky, "Thank you."

Angel got back down, slowly crawling the rest of the way to the edge of the city, not wanting to risk being seen, especially after so close a call. Sure enough, and against all odds, she found herself looking at Slateport City, and there, just beyond it, moored at the docks.... her ticket home to Kalos.

------------

Getting on board the ship was no easy task whatsoever. She'd had to dodge the hundreds of Trainers who were still awake, even at this late hour, and some of who had some extremely powerful Pokemon with them. She'd had to sneak into the port unnoticed, which was in of itself like something from one of those action spy movies, especially with all the Trainers and Team Plasma Grunts running around, battling each other. At least it had kept the attention away from her muddy form as she slipped aboard the ship, and made her way to the cargo hold, somewhere she hoped against hope that nobody would find her.

Thankfully, the ship had pulled out of harbor not long after, taking her away from the people who had turned her into a Pokemon, and had used and abused her these last few months. In that moment, she felt everything was going to be alright. That nothing else could go wrong.

Content in her safety, Angel rested her head upon her paws, and drifted off into the most comfortable, fulfilling sleep she'd had in what felt like forever....
Made for :iconpane-soad-group:.

Angel has been through a rough time. Captured as a guy on vacation in Hoenn, and turned into a Pokemon by Team Plasma on their quest to create Hybrid Pokemon Soldier, with a change in gender, to boot!

Now, freed by a mysterious power outage at Team Plasma's Mt. Chimney Base, Angel has boarded a ship, bound for home....

Little does she know, however, how far the arm of Team Plasma stretches and that no place is not within their unforgiving grasp. If she can't find help, she will surely be recaptured.... or suffer a fate far worse.
